Sometimes, I don’t have a deep reflection or insight to share. Sometimes, I’m just tired. So here’s what’s taking up space in my head this week:
- Cleaning the house.
Because apparently, we can’t leave for a trip with the place looking like raccoons live here. - Balancing work and trip prep.
Trying to be a professional adult and a logistics manager for an international mom-daughter adventure is… a lot. - Packing for London.
We leave Friday, which sounds far away until you realize how much has to get done between now and then. Clothes, adapters, activities for the plane, snacks, chargers, raincoats—everything. - Pre-packing for the pre-trip conference.
Thursday is booked: I’ve got a work conference lasting from early morning until late evening. Which means all the trip prep has to be done early. No last-minute chaos allowed (but let’s be honest—it’ll still be chaotic). - Mentally running through the “what am I forgetting?” list 15 times a day.
Passport? Power bank? Toothbrush? Pajamas? You name it, I’ve second-guessed it. - Solo parent brain.
Everything falls on me, and there’s no one else to tag in. It’s a mental load you don’t notice until it starts shouting.
That’s it. That’s the post. No moral. No takeaway. Just me, holding it together with caffeine, lists, and the hope that everything makes it into the suitcase.
